Annwyl Deuluoedd,
Ni allwn gredu ei bod wedi bod yn wythnos gyfan ers i'ch plentyn ddechrau gyda ni yng Ngharreg Lam! Am wythnos! Rydyn ni wedi gwneud cymaint ac mae'r plant wedi llwyddo cymaint! Maen nhw wedi setlo'n dda iawn ac rydyn ni nawr yn dechrau'r gwaith go iawn o ddifrif.
Uchafbwyntiau’r Wythnos
Mae wedi bod yn hyfryd croesawu plant newydd yr wythnos hon. Mae pawb wedi dod i adnabod ei gilydd, ymgyfarwyddo â’r ysgol ac, wrth gwrs, creu ffrindiau newydd. Yr wythnos yma, mae’r plant wedi dysgu am rifau a lliwiau drwy chwarae gemau cyfri a Twister. Maen nhw wedi mwynhau canu am ddyddiau’r wythnos a threfnu diwrnodau’r wythnos fel grŵp cyn chwarae bingo rhifau. Roedd pawb yn frwdfrydig wrth chwarae’r gêm taro targed i ymarfer sgiliau adio a thynnu yng nghanol yr wythnos. Tuag at ddiwedd yr wythnos, roedd hyder y plant wedi tyfu wrth adnabod teimladau gwahanol a disgrifio ei hunain. Roeddent hefyd yn gyffrous iawn wrth chwarae gemau gyda pharaswit, conau a pheli.

Dear Families,
We can’t believe it has been one whole week since your child started with us at Carreg Lam! What a week its been! We’ve done so much and the children have come so far! They’ve settled really well and we now start the real work in earnest.
Highlights of the Week
It has been lovely to welcome new children this week. Everyone has been getting to know one another, settling into the school and, of course, making new friends. This week, the children have been learning about numbers and colours by playing counting games and Twister. They have enjoyed singing about the days of the week and organising the days as a group before playing number bingo. Everyone was enthusiastic while playing the target‑throwing game to practise addition and subtraction skills in the middle of the week. Towards the end of the week, the children’s confidence grew as they recognised different feelings and described themselves. They were also very excited while playing games with the parachute, cones and balls.

NEXT WEEK: Trip to Pontypool Park (13/01/2026). This is a trip that is free of charge. Since you have given permission for trips, there is no need to give further permission. Please contact us if you DO NOT want your child to attend. Please make sure they are wearing sensible clothing for the outdoors on this day.
