Diogelu | Safeguarding
Mae diogelu yn gyfrifoldeb i bawb.

Mae Carreg Lam wedi ymrwymo i gadw plant a phobl ifanc yn ddiogel rhag niwed a chamdriniaeth. Mae ein mesurau yn cynnwys:
-
Adolygu trefniadau diogelu yn rheolaidd;
-
Mae'r holl staff sydd wedi’u hyfforddi mewn diogelu, gan gynnwys sylwi ar arwyddion o gam-drin a beth i’w wneud os oes ganddynt hwy neu rywun arall unrhyw bryderon am blentyn;
-
Polisi diogelu yn manylu ar weithdrefnau llawn yn cael ei ddiweddaru'n flynyddol a'i fabwysiadu gan y Corff Llywodraethol;
-
Mae gweithdrefnau recriwtio yn sicrhau bod staff yn cael eu gwirio cyn iddynt weithio gyda phlant.
Mae’r agenda diogelu yn eang ei chwmpas, o ofal bugeiliol a gwrth-fwlio i sicrhau bod plant yn ddiogel rhag camdriniaeth ac esgeulustod neu’r risg o radicaleiddio. Mae gan bob un ohonom ran i'w chwarae wrth gadw ein plant yn ddiogel.
Os oes gennych unrhyw bryderon, cysylltwch â ni:
-
Dr. Matthew James Williamson-Dicken (Swyddog Diogelu Dynodedig)
-
Ms. Nerys Phillips (Dirprwy Swyddog Diogelu Dynodedig)
-
Miss Caitlin Harley (Dirprwy Swyddog Diogelu Dynodedig)
Dylid adrodd unrhyw bryderon ynghylch y Pennaeth i Gadeirydd y Llywodraethwyr, David Childs.

Tra byddwn yn ymdrechu i drafod unrhyw bryderon gyda rhieni/gwarcheidwaid am eu plant, fe all fod amgylchiadau eithriadol pan fydd yr ysgol yn trafod pryderon gyda Gofal Cymdeithasol a/neu’r Heddlu heb yn wybod i’r rhieni (yn unol â gweithdrefnau Amddiffyn Plant). Bydd yr ysgol, wrth gwrs, bob amser yn anelu at gynnal perthynas gadarnhaol gyda’r holl rieni/gwarcheidwaid.
Bydd unrhyw bryderon a godir yn cael eu trin yn sensitif ond, fel y nodir uchod, ni allwn warantu cyfrinachedd mewn amgylchiadau lle mae'n rhaid i ni rannu gwybodaeth gyda chydweithwyr o fewn y ganolfan neu mewn asiantaethau eraill.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Carreg Lam is committed to keeping children and young people safe from harm and abuse. Our measures include:
-
Regular review of safeguarding arrangements;
-
All staff trained in safeguarding, including spotting signs of abuse and what to do if they or someone else has any concerns about a child;
-
Safeguarding policy detailing full procedures updated annually and adopted by the Governing Body;
-
Recruitment procedures ensure staff are checked before they work with children.
The safeguarding agenda is wide-ranging, from pastoral care and anti-bullying to ensuring children are safe from abuse and neglect or the risk of radicalisation. We all have a role to play in keeping our children safe.
If you have any concerns, please contact us:
-
Dr. Matthew James Williamson-Dicken (Designated Safeguarding Officer)
-
Ms. Nerys Phillips (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer)
-
Miss Caitlin Harley (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer)
Any concerns regarding the Head should be reported to the Chair of Governors, David Childs.
While we will endeavour to discuss any concerns with parents/guardians about their children, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures). The centre will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents/guardians.
Any concerns raised will be treated sensitively but, as noted above, we cannot guarantee confidentiality in circumstances where we have to share information with colleagues within the school or in other agencies.
