Annwyl Deuluoedd,
Am wythnos boeth! Mae’r tywydd wir wedi bod yn chwilboeth! Er hynny, dyma ni’n dod i ddiwedd wythnos 8 yng Ngharreg Lam ac mae’r plant wedi bod yn mwynhau dysgu fwy o iaith!
Uchafbwyntiau’r Wythnos
I ddechrau’r wythnos dysgon ni am dai a chreon ni dai gwahanol allan o flociau a thoes. Defnyddion ni siapiau 2D a chonau i greu tai gwahanol a thrafod nodweddion y tai. Defnyddion ni arddodiaid i roi’r tai cywir ar y stryd. Cafon ni amser hwylus pryd aethon ni am dro o gwmpas Griffithstown. Defnyddion ni ricbren i gofnodi faint o dai gwelon ni. Pryd cyrhaeddon ni nol, creon defnyddion ni ein rhicbren i greu pictogram. Yna dysgon ni am swyddi gwahanol a llwyddon ni i ddisgrifio nhw. Dywedodd y plant bod athrawon yn garedig! Trafodon ni pa wrthrychau sydd yn cydfynd gyda’r swyddi gwahanol. Dysgon ni stori’r Tri Mochyn Bach a defnyddio symudiadau i’n helpu i adrodd y stori. Chwaraeon ni ‘Faint o’r gloch yw hi Mr Blaidd’ a chysylltu hyn gyda amser.

Dyddiadau Pwysig i’ch Dyddiadur
WYTHNOS NESAF: 22/06/2023. Trip i dref Cwmbran. Mae gennym eisoes eich caniatâd ar gyfer y daith hon ar eich ffurflen dderbyn. Felly, dim ond os nad ydych chi am i'ch plentyn fynychu'r ymweliad addysgol y mae angen i chi gysylltu â ni. Nid oes unrhyw gost am yr ymweliad hwn. Mae trefniadau cinio arferol yn parhau ar y diwrnod hwn. Cofiwch esgidiau da, synhwyrol a chôt gynnes, gwrth-ddŵr.

Dear Families,
What a hot week! The weather has been scorching! Even so, as we come to the end of week 8 at Carreg Lam, the children have been enjoying learning more language and vocabulary!
Highlights of the Week
To start the week we learned about houses and we created different houses out of blocks and dough. We used 2D shapes and cones to create different houses and discuss the characteristics of the houses. We used prepositions to put the correct houses on the street. We had a good time when we went for a walk around Griffithstown. We used a log to record how many houses we saw. When we got back, we used our colours to create a pictogram. Then we learned about different jobs and were able to describe them. The children said that teachers are kind! We discussed which objects go with the different jobs. We learned the story of the Three Little Pigs and used movements to help us tell the story. We played 'What time is it Mr Wolf' and linked this with time.
Next Week’s Language Patterns and Vocabulary
Our theme for next week, ‘The Town’, means that there are lots of language structures and vocabulary that we will be learning. Here is a selection of the main language patterns that we will be practicing next week.

Important Dates for Your Diary
NEXT WEEK: 22/06/2023. Trip to Cwmbran Town Centre. We already have your permission for this trip on your admission form. Therefore, you only need to contact us if you do not want your child to attend the educational visit. There is no cost for this visit. Normal lunch arrangements continue on this day. Remember good, sensible shoes and a warm, waterproof coat.
ON THE HORIZON: Remember that our graduation ceremony is on 05/07/2023 at 10am.
